Airplanes and lots more!

Ciarra showing off her paper airplane

Katelynn giving hers a good launch

We had so much fun making paper airplanes and seeing what effect wind has on them. This was not a very windy day so we realized other factors had to come into play in order for our airplanes to fly farther. We flew them outside first to see if anything weather related would help or hurt our flights and then we flew them in the hallway. This experiment has been all they have talked about since! We even stopped outside to see some 4th graders at recess flying their own paper airplanes just for fun. We got some tips and pointers from them and then we brought ours out to have a race with them!
The students were able to make some changes to their planes after their first flight,...this was a perfect lesson for FAIL!! They loved having a second chance!!:):)

Award's Day is always such a special day!
Congratulations to all of my students for working so hard the first nine weeks!!:):)

Pumpkin Book Report Projects
These were AMAZING!! We had a hard time only voting for two to represent our class for the school challenge!:) Thank you to all of my students and their families for all of their hard work!!:)

We had a great time during red ribbon week! Thank you to this BSHS FOOTBALL PLAYER for coming to teach a lesson to us!! We had so much fun and loved learning from you!:)

Dressed for success!!!! Look at these handsome fellas and these pretty beauties!

They loved exploring these real maps from places that I've traveled:) we are reviewing and practicing our map skills for social studies:)

Career Day!!! I love seeing them dressed in what they dream to be!! If you can dream it...you can be it!!

We loved going around listening to the guests tell us about their careers:)

During our weather unit we have two classmates each day who check our thermometer and our rain gauge each day and report the weather conditions. Thankfully with all of this rain we've had lately, they have really gotten some practice reading a rain gauge!:)

We love s having a scientist come teach us special lessons! This time we learned about the three types of matter and their properties:)
